The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.
SASSA might be rendering expert services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency stated it's alarmed with regards to the high number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated here to service the area on a daily basis. The provider position produced for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more means to permit the servicing of all customers and enhance usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
